Position Overview
The Continuous Improvement Engineer plays a pivotal role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. This position is responsible for driving initiatives that enhance safety, quality, service, and cost efficiency within the organization. By leveraging Lean tools and methodologies, the Continuous Improvement Engineer will lead cross-functional teams to identify and implement sustainable solutions that eliminate waste and empower employees.
Whatyou'll do
- Lead Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects to drive operational excellence.
- Utilize Lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Gemba Walks, and Root Cause Problem Solving to identify and implement process improvements.
- Mentor and train employees on Lean methodologies to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify opportunities for process optimization.
- Collaborate with plant leadership and cross-functional teams to standardize best practices.
- Promote and enforce safety policies in compliance with OSHA regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Track, monitor, and report on project progress and ensure timely completion of milestones.
- Drive initiatives to improve quality, delivery, and cost efficiency across operations.
- All other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent (e.g., Business Administration).
- 1+ years of experience leading and managing teams, with production/plant management leadership preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Proficiency in Lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, 5S, and Root Cause Problem Solving.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SAP, BW, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to mentor and rally teams.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Six Sigma Certification is desirable.
- Proficient in English (spoken and written).
- Annual base salary range: $75,000- $90,000
- Bonus target range: 10%
