The Role

The Electrical Test Engineer is responsible for testing, validating, and debugging electronic hardware assemblies and subsystems across development, qualification, and production phases. This role is highly hands‑on and lab-focused, supporting hardware bring‑up, verification, and system integration to ensure electrical and functional requirements are met for complex electronic systems.

Responsibilities
  • Test and debug PCBAs and electronic subsystems, including multi-board electrical systems
  • Perform functional and performance testing during development, qualification, and production
  • Support hardware bring-up and electrical troubleshooting using laboratory instrumentation
  • Verify electrical, functional, and performance requirements against design specifications
  • Support design verification, qualification, and production acceptance testing activities
  • Identify root causes of electrical and hardware failures and support corrective actions
  • Develop, execute, and maintain test procedures, acceptance criteria, and production documentation
  • Test and validate electrical interfaces such as Ethernet, SPI, I²C, UART, and similar protocols
  • Assist in diagnosing signal integrity issues in high-speed and mixed-signal designs
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, firmware, optical, manufacturing, and AIT teams
  • Support environmental testing efforts including thermal, vibration, and related qualification tests
  • Work with international partners to support system-level integration and test efforts
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience (flexible depending on skill set).
  • Solid foundation in electrical engineering fundamentals (digital, analog, or mixed-signal).
  • Hands‑on experience testing or debugging electronic hardware.
  • Comfort working in a lab environment using standard test equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, logic analyzers, etc.).
  • Experience with PCBAs, prototypes, or production hardware.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or other regulated industries.
  • Exposure to optoelectronics, RF, or communication systems.
  • Basic scripting or embedded programming (Python, C/C++ or similar languages).
  • Interest in growing into more complex system-level testing or aerospace testing roles.
  • Lab environment use, such as, power meter and optic spectrum analyzer.
  • Fluency in Spanish with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Hands‑on laboratory (cleanroom ISO
    8) and production floor work.
  • Interaction with cleanroom and ESD‑controlled environments.
  • The role requires 5 days in office per week.
  • Occasional off-hours support for critical test campaigns.
Compensation

The annual salary range for this role as it is posted is $95,120 - $118,900. The final job level and annual salary will be determined based on the education, qualification, knowledge, skills, ability, and experience of the final candidate(s), specific office location and calibrated against relevant market data and internal team equity.
