Manufacturing Engineer – Tester I (Semiconductor Product Validation)

Role Description

UST is searching for a Manufacturing Engineer who will develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing methods, operational sequences, and processes for fabrication of parts, components, sub‑assemblies, and final assemblies.

The Opportunity (Responsibilities)
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to coordinate product improvements and new product introductions.
  • Launch, release, approve, and implement Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) to support Design Engineering and Operations for both new and existing products.
  • Estimate manufacturing costs, establish time standards, and recommend appropriate tooling and process requirements.
  • Apply DFx principles to reduce manufacturing and product costs while improving delivered product quality.

What You Need (Qualifications)
  • Manufacturing / Process Engineering
  • New Product Introduction (NPI) & Engineering Change (ECR/ECO)
  • DFx (DFM, DFA, DFT)
  • Assembly & test process development
  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA) & PFMEA
  • Cost, tooling, and process optimization
  • 3–6 years in Manufacturing or Process Engineering
  • Hands‑on experience in assembly and test environments
  • Manufacturing processes and test methodologies
  • Engineering change control
  • Continuous improvement and failure analysis
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, or related)

Compensation

$44,000 - $66,000

Benefits

Full‑time employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, 6 days of paid sick leave each year, 10 paid holidays, paid bereavement leave, and jury duty pay.
