** Are you ready to take the next step in your civil engineering career and help shape the future of our growing community at Town of Erie? The Town is seeking a Civil Engineer III (Supervisor) which is also referred to as a
** Development Review Supervisor.
** In this role, you will be leading a talented team of development review engineers while playing a key role in critical infrastructure and capital planning and construction efforts. In this dynamic role, you’ll work under the general supervision of the Town Engineer and operate with substantial independence and professional judgment. You’ll review construction plans, engineering reports, final plats, and development agreements, ensuring high-quality, sustainable development across the Town.
As the Development Review Supervisor, you’ll also provide coaching, mentoring, and day‐to‐day support to development review engineers, helping guide the team’s success and growth. Beyond development review, you’ll help with coordination with the Town’s infrastructure construction inspection group for development capital improvement projects, assist with answering questions from Contractors, Developers and Inspection staff. You will assist with the annual Town budget process, prepare and review cost estimates for surety, and support the 5‐year Capital Improvement Plan.
You’ll collaborate with outside agencies, oversee consultant contracts, and coordinate funding requests. ** Future Projects You Could Be a Part Of:
*** Multiple large residential and commercial developments in various stages of planning and infrastructure construction.
* Town initiated commercial and civic developments, including Town Center commercial investment, Police Department expansion, Erie Community Center expansion, and multiple development related transportation and utility infrastructure improvement projects.###
