Engineering Technician (Optical and Laser Equipment)
Our client, a leader in advanced optical and laser systems, is seeking an Engineering Technician to join their dedicated team. As an Engineering Technician, you will be an integral part of the engineering support team, contributing to the development and maintenance of cutting-edge laser technologies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, proactive problem-solving skills, and a collaborative spirit, which will align successfully within the organization.

Pay Range:
Around $32/hour with flexibility
What's the Job?
- Align, optimize, troubleshoot, and maintain laser systems and optical architectures, including free-space and fiber-coupled systems.
- Maintain accurate records such as maintenance logs, inspection reports, and assembly documentation.
- Measure and characterize laser performance using diagnostic tools, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to laser and optical system performance, including alignment drift and component failures.
- Assist in prototype assembly, rework, and develop detailed assembly instructions and alignment procedures.
What's Needed?
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 2 years of experience working with laser or optical systems in a laboratory or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience with precision hand tools and measurement devices such as calipers and micrometers.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and follow detailed procedures.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with engineering teams.
