The Life Extension 2 (LE2) team is an organization within the greater FBM program which supports the development of the next generation system by developing concepts, researching, and maturing technologies to support the development of the next FBM Missile System. The Controls group is an organization within FBM that is responsible for the design and production support of the systems that control the missile both before and after boost.

This position is for an Project Engineer in a Post Boost Control System (PBCS) hardware IPT that both collaborates well in a team environment and has excellent communication skills. As a Project Engineer you will be responsible for integrating technical, cost, and schedule data to keep mission critical milestones and hardware deliveries on track. Your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborate with engineering, program management, and suppliers to resolve issues and drive day-to-day execution
• Develop and manage detailed project plans while supporting Control Account Management
• Report progress, issues, and achievements to Program Management
• Work cross functionally to develop proposal deliverables such as but not limited to scoping documents, fact-finding presentations, and basis of estimates
• Identify risk, issues, and opportunities and implement approved risk handling plans

Desired skills:

• Missile and/or aerospace related education or experience
• Experience with FBM processes and products
• Experience with product life cycle (development, deployment, retirement)
• Experience managing and prioritizing multiple high priority tasks
• Experience with resource estimation & management, component development estimation, project planning, and project management
• Experience in proposal development:
  Basis of Estimate (BOE), Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM), & Statement of Work (SOW) generation
• Experience with Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) initial drafting and baselining

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
