As our Junior Structural Analysis Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in bringing our rocket systems to life. This role will focus on ground support equipment (GSE), taking parts from concept to build ensuring the vehicle build, test and launch teams have GSE in place. You will provide the team with detailed component and assembly-level analysis including hand-calculations, FEA models, and testing, ensuring components meet specifications.
From mechanical structures (like test stands) to mechanisms (like actuators for turn-over carts) you will ensure that every GSE mechanical system is designed for manufacturability, speed, and high life cycles. Your analysis, in close collaboration with the design, build, and test teams, will form the backbone of our rocket's success.

Impacts & Outcomes
- Produce & rapidly iterate mechanical concepts designs using structural analysis for flight vehicles support structures, engine test stands, and transportation needs
- Perform margin of safety calculations for bolted joints and define torque value, including tubing/nuts
- Perform static analysis, following best practices
- Prepare analysis packages & technical reports
- Identify and solve technical challenges with speed
- Support testing as needed in the lab and at the test site
- Surge support for flight vehicle analysis
What You Bring to the Team
- Mechanical, Civil or Aerospace engineering degree from an accredited university
- 2-6 years analysis experience
- Experience in propulsion testing, aerospace systems, energy systems, heavy industry, or other high-consequence hardware environments preferred
- Competence in CAD/CAE software such as NX, FEMAP, Nastran
- Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced, high-accountability environments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of products
- Organized, detail-oriented approach to work and documentation
- Familiarity with industry standards
- Ability to learn new tools, systems, or domains as needed
Bonus Points
- Experience in high-growth, startup, or technically complex environments
- Proven track record of successful GSE or flight hardware development
- Experience with pressure vessels, engines, and outdoor test stands
Compensation
Salary Range: $75,000 - $140,000
The estimated salary range for this role reflects various compensation factors. The final offer depends on factors such as work experience, education, training, key skills, and business needs.
