We are seeking a dedicated and professional Security Officer - Registration Specialist to join our Emergency Department team. This dual‑role position plays a critical part in maintaining a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors while also supporting timely and accurate patient registration.

Requirements
  • Be part of a dynamic team delivering nutritious meals to patients and staff.

What You’ll Do
  • Respond promptly and on‑site to identified security risks or threats within the Emergency Department.
  • De‑escalate patients in crisis or exhibiting aggressive or disruptive behavior.
  • Maintain a high‑visibility presence to promote safety and deter potential threats.
  • Manage emergency or crisis situations calmly and effectively in collaboration with clinical and administrative teams.
Registration & Customer Service Responsibilities
  • Greet patients, visitors, physicians, and staff in a friendly and professional manner; provide assistance as needed.
  • Answer telephone calls promptly and courteously; route calls accurately and take detailed messages when necessary.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in CPSI registration system for accurate and efficient patient intake.
  • Collect, scan, and verify insurance information and related documentation.
  • Obtain appropriate signed consents for all services rendered, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

Must maintain current BLS certification.

HRRMC will offer de‑escalation training within 3 months of hire.

Education and/or Experience
  • Law enforcement or hospital security experience required.
  • Customer service experience preferably in a hospital, medical, or physician office.
