Controller
$150K–$170K Base + Bonus/Incentives
Denver, CO | Remote Flexibility
A rapidly growing environmental technology and advanced materials organization is seeking a hands-on Controller to join the leadership team during a pivotal stage of growth.
This position offers the opportunity to build and elevate the accounting function within a highly innovative company preparing for long-term scale and increased financial sophistication. The Controller will work closely with executive leadership, helping strengthen infrastructure, improve processes, and support broader strategic initiatives across the business.
About:- Opportunity to play a key role in public-company readiness initiatives, including audit support, controls, and compliance processes
- Visibility across the organization with direct interaction with senior leadership and strategic decision-making
- Involvement in a major ERP transformation, including Net Suite implementation and reporting enhancements
- Exposure to complex accounting areas including manufacturing operations, capital projects, inventory, and R&D activity
- Ability to influence and help scale the accounting team and overall finance structure

- Flexible work environment with a Denver-based company open to remote arrangements
- Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Oversee general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls and ensure audit-ready financials
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR oversight, payroll accounting, and fixed assets
- Partner cross-functionally on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis initiatives
- Support ERP implementation efforts and ongoing process improvements
- Assist leadership with strategic finance and operational projects as the organization continues to scale
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership experience at the Controller or Assistant Controller level
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and audit processes
- Experience in high-growth, complex, or operationally intensive environments preferred
- ERP experience required;
Net Suite experience highly preferred - Advanced Excel skills and strong ownership mentality around close and reporting processes
- CPA strongly preferred
