Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Tax Director to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $160,000 to $200,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the preparation and review of federal and state tax filings, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide strategic tax consultation to clients, addressing concerns and identifying new service opportunities.
- Analyze financial statements to detect discrepancies, trends, and tax reporting inconsistencies.
- Oversee tax engagements, ensuring efficient workflow, accuracy, and timely deliverables.
- Implement effective time-tracking and billing management practices to streamline client invoicing.
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a master's degree in Taxation.
- Have 10-15+ years of experience handling tax preparation and review in a professional setting.
- Possess a CPA certification to demonstrate tax expertise and industry compliance.
- Exhibit a strong understanding of multi-state tax regulations and financial statement assessments.
- Demonstrate proven ability to supervise and manage tax engagements efficiently.
- Maintain excellent communication skills for client interaction and relationship building.
- Apply leadership and mentorship capabilities to support the development of tax staff.
- Utilize administrative expertise within accounting, legal, or financial services environments.
- Adapt to evolving tax policies, ensuring best practices are maintained.
- Uphold professionalism and integrity while managing complex tax matters and regulatory compliance.
