Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Tax Manager to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $140,000 to $160,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation and review of federal and multi-state tax returns for businesses and their owners.
- Provide strategic tax planning and guidance to optimize tax obligations and ensure compliance.
- Build and maintain client relationships through networking and referral development.
- Lead and mentor staff-level professionals to foster a collaborative and knowledgeable team environment.
- Assist with tax audits and represent clients in communications with tax authorities.
- CPA certification and a Master's degree in Taxation.
- 6+ years of experience in public accounting and tax preparation and review.
- Demonstrate strong expertise in Quick Books (Online and Desktop versions).
- Possess hands-on experience with CCH Access tax software.
- Communicate effectively with professionals at all organizational levels.
- Apply deep knowledge of tax law and compliance regulations to client engagements.
- Work independently and take initiative in managing multiple priorities.
- Adapt to changing tax regulations and shifting client needs.
- Leverage technology tools such as Bloomberg Tax Research to improve efficiency.
- Contribute to process improvements across accounting and tax functions.
