Financial Analyst, Risk Manager/Analyst
We are seeking a Credit Analyst with commercial and agricultural credit underwriting experience who has the capacity to be creative, taking the time to understand each customer’s unique needs while mitigating risk, to join our team in any of our Colorado locations.
Your missionTo develop narratives that tell financial stories, based on a deep understanding of what can be learned from financial documents.
As a Credit Analyst, you will take the lead to spread and analyze financials for a portfolio rooted in commercial business and agricultural operations. You will assemble loan presentations and provide ongoing risk mitigation through loan reviews and covenant testing. You'll collaborate closely with relationship managers to grasp the intricacies of each customer’s needs, occasionally attending customer meetings to ensure understanding of the terms and conditions negotiated.
Working with relationship assistants, you'll ensure all necessary documents are collected, from tax returns to credit reports. Your role extends to liaising with the Chief Credit Officer to ensure adherence to loan policies and guidance. You will also assist the Chief Credit Officer in preparing reports for the bank board and bank examiners.
You possess a unique blend of technical expertise and empathy, allowing you to not only understand the details of financial documents but also to connect with our customers on a human level. You have a proactive approach to problem-solving, coupled with curiosity and eagerness to learn. - 2+ years of prior underwriting experience for commercial credits
- 1+ year of prior underwriting experience for agricultural credits
- Understanding of various lending types; commercial real estate, commercial and industrial real estate, agricultural real estate
- The ability to read, understand and analyze financial statements
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office or Google Suite
- Confidence in communicating effectively with customers and team members
- Proficiency in written communication
- Self-managed and detailed oriented
Key Accountabilities
- Provide written financial statement analysis for credit presentation, file comments and annual reviews
- Serve as analyst and provide support to lenders for commercial, ag and consumer loan transactions
- Review incoming financial statements on assigned loans; construct financial statement spreads; analyze year-end and interim financial statements, including performance ratios
- Research industry specific information from outside sources
- Prepare and/or review real estate evaluations
- Assist the team in monitoring delinquencies, overdrafts, exceptions and covenants
- Review and understand the Loan Policy and related lending policies and procedures to assure requests adhere to guidelines
- Participate in continuing professional development as appropriate

- $65,000 to $90,000 per year based on experience and qualifications - other factors may be considered
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- In person at one of our locations in Colorado
- 8-5 Monday - Friday
