Hiring Pay Ranges: $72,358.80 – $ per year (includes 20% Cost of Living Adjustment)

  • Banking Officer I – $72,358.80 – $111,084 per year
  • Banking Officer II – $79,597 – $122,192 per year
  • Banking Officer III – $96,295 – $147,854 per year
  • Banking Officer IV – $105,930 – $162,636 per year
  • Banking Officer V – $ – $ per year
  • Eligible for an additional $2,080.00 per year under the Spanish Communication Assistant Program.
Summary

Originate, process, and service the credit needs of businesses, consumers and professionals while maintaining depository accounts and other fee‑generating services. Supports retail and Treasury Management functions, maintaining operational knowledge.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Service credit needs of customers and prospects requiring plant visits; obtain financial information; coordinate credit analysis and present loans to the Bank Loan Committee when required; negotiate terms and conditions.
  • Administer and review credit through collection, monitoring and grading.
  • Detect potential problems and apply problem‑loan administration techniques.
  • Make final decision on loans, with responsibility for outcomes regardless of Committee approval.
  • Manage a commercial loan portfolio, ensuring credit quality, policy and regulatory compliance, and collection status; may include consumer credits.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to commercial and consumer banking officers in collaboration with community‑bank presidents.
  • Act as relationship manager, ensuring satisfaction and resolving service issues.
  • Expand customer base through networking, sales calling, and loan solicitation; maintain product knowledge.
  • Engage in community activities to enhance visibility and reputation.
  • Deliver service quality per departmental standards.
  • Maintain National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration per the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008.
  • Comply with BSA, other banking regulations, and bank policies.
  • Support retail and treasury functions, including transaction and exception approvals.
  • Refer clients for investment options to the Financial Services department.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience

Banking Officer Level Requirements Banking Officer I
  • 1 year experience in consumer/retail or commercial lending and collections, or equivalent education and experience.
Banking Officer II
  • Minimum 3 years commercial lines lending. Ability to analyze credit and underwrite risk. Portfolio $~5–20MM (50–80 credits). May manage consumer loan portfolio. Operates under guidance of senior lenders.
Banking Officer III
  • Minimum 5 years commercial lines lending. Advanced relationship management, business development, credit analysis, and underwriting. Portfolio $~10–30MM (70–130 credits). May manage consumer loan portfolio. Operates with minimal guidance.
Banking Officer IV
  • Minimum 8 years commercial lines lending. Highly developed portfolio management, negotiation, and mentorship. Portfolio $10–50MM (70–130 credits). Manages and mentors lower‑level officers.
