Town of Monument
Our mission is to provide leadership that delivers municipal services responsibly, while inspiring public confidence to achieve our vision of the future. The Town of Monument is focused on meeting the community’s needs with the utmost integrity, a sense of obligation to service, and responsibility. In doing so, the Town will be held accountable and respect the diversity and values of our constituents.
PostingThe Monument Police Department is only as effective and professional as the officers we employ. We are looking for those officers who want to make a difference for their community while seeing their command staff has their back through demonstrable actions. With that in mind, we endeavor to empower and value our officers and their families. Officers would be hard-pressed to find a community anywhere that supports their police force the way the citizens of Monument do.
They demonstrate it with sales tax revenue that goes directly to the department to keep the community safe and protected. Officers enjoy a generous time-off policy and a paid holiday bank of hours at the beginning of the calendar year. Most officers work a 4-on, 3-off, 10-hour schedule while earning sick and vacation time on top of it.
Officers in Monument uphold and enforce the law. They are empowered and trusted to be guardians of the community and are given the freedom to find creative and inclusive ways to build rapport with our citizens and visitors, to ensure that we all live free and respect the laws of the state and town. We are looking for a select few who understand the value of being a great team partner and can build a life-long friendship with those they work with.
