You will serve as a Supervisory Park Ranger Interpretation with National Park Service. First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the step 1 rate. You may be required to work on-call, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime and shift work. Open to the first 100 applicants or until close date listed, whichever comes first. All applications submitted by 11:59 (EST) on the closing day will receive consideration.
MajorDuties
Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following:
Perform supervisory and lead functions for a district interpretive operation, including recruiting, hiring, directing work and evaluating staff. Develop partnerships with public and private groups and other government agencies. Plan and coordinate development of training programs for staff, volunteers and partners. Provide or assist in interpretive program planning, including the development of visitor use planning, budget development and operational plans.
Manage the day to day operation of a visitor center or other interpretive facility.
