Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly professional and skilled Medical Laboratory Technician for a 13-week travel assignment in Holyoke, CO. Working as a Generalist, you will be responsible for performing a comprehensive range of clinical laboratory tests to assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. This role requires a clinician who can provide expert care across diverse laboratory disciplines with clinical precision.

Required Qualifications:

Certification:
Must hold and maintain an active Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) certification (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent).
Experience:
3 years of minimum eperience mandatory.
Education:
Graduation from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program.
Academic Foundation:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required.
Clinical Knowledge:
Proven competency and knowledge as a Laboratory Generalist, including proficiency in phlebotomy and core lab departments.
Traveler Status:
Candidate must be a non-local traveler (typically residing more than 50 miles from the facility).
Key Responsibilities:
Generalist Testing:
Perform and interpret clinical laboratory tests in Phlebotomy, Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Blood Bank, Serology, and Microbiology.
Clinical Execution:
Execute diagnostic tests with accuracy and clinical oversight, ensuring high-quality results for patient care.
Equipment Operation:
Set up, operate, and maintain diverse laboratory equipment and automated analyzers used in the diagnosis of various illnesses.
Quality Standards:
Maintain the level of work required for high-performance clinical care, ensuring all safety and regulatory standards (CLIA/CAP) are met.

Schedule Requirements:
Candidate must be willing to work 1 on-call day per week and 1 weekend per month as needed.
Scope of Work:
While this description indicates the general nature of the work, the clinician must be adaptable to additional duties as requested by the Director to meet patient needs.
