Location: Frisco
American Traveler is seeking a Sonographer with 2+ years of experience and strong vascular skills for a 13-week acute care assignment in Colorado.
Job Details
• Acute care hospital setting within the Radiology/Ultrasound department,
• Department has 2 scanning rooms with no floating required to other areas,
• Studies include vascular, abdominal, liver, renal, thyroid, AAA, breast, duplex veins, and carotid imaging,
• Equipment includes GE and Philips ultrasound systems; PACS Synapse and Epic EMR in use,
• 12-hour weekend day shifts; likely Friday/Saturday/Sunday or Saturday/Sunday/Monday,
• On-call requirement from 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM on days worked; call days align with scheduled weekend days,
• Holiday coverage is required,
Job Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years of sonography experience,
• ARDMS certification required - OB/GYN or Abdomen (AB) specialty preferred; RVT preferred,
• Active BLS (AHA) certification required,
• Strong vascular ultrasound experience required,
• Proficiency with GE and Philips ultrasound equipment,
• Experience with PACS (Synapse) and Epic EMR,
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates; a valid driver's license is required for address verification,
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire,
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration,
• License required if applicable,
Additional Information
• Perform vascular, abdominal, obstetric, breast, and other general ultrasound studies under radiologist supervision,
• Radiologist is on-site 2 days per week; a radiology supervisor or lead tech is present in the department,
• Black scrubs required; scrubs are not provided,
• Department-specific orientation is provided; candidates must be in-state for the week of orientation even if initial modules are remote,
• A radiation badge (rad badge) will be provided by the agency,
• Candidates must not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any Common Spirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year; candidates employed PRN through outside firms will be considered,
• Travelers are expected to float within their hired zone per the facility's Float Radius Policy and should secure housing accordingly
