Senior Companion: In-Home Support & Connection

About the Role

Porchlight Friends companions assist with projects in the home, light housework and transportation for doctor appointments and errands. Clients also enjoy easy connection to family and friends, as well as community services, using the Porchlight Health platform. Most importantly, our companions provide face‑to‑face interactions, lasting 2 hours, to help battle the loneliness and isolation felt by so many of our older loved ones.

The Porchlight Health platform combines technology with in‑person support to ensure even the most digitally challenged adults stay connected. It is secure, easy to use and has one‑touch connections for video chats, phone calls and texting with friends and family across the country.

The Porchlight Friends services focus on combatting the loneliness and isolation that so many of our older community members are experiencing. We want to surround them with in‑person companionship and safe, secure online connections with family, friends and community resources.
