Job DescriptionProvides patient ambulatory care in the medical office/clinic setting. Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care; meets the communication needs of patient and family; provides care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or physician. Maintains regulatory requirements, nursing and practice policies, procedures and standards. Communicates with physicians and team members about patient’s clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptoms presented.
EssentialDuties
- Prepare provider clinics
- Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking vital signs, medical history, and chief complaint.
- Maintain cleanliness and sterility of exam rooms and instruments.
- Manage phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and relay provider’s instructions.
- Update and maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
