Patient Care Technician
Job Summary and Responsibilities
As aCritical Care Tech, you will perform direct and indirect patient care in collaboration with an RN or Physician, playing a vital role in patient support.
Every day, you will be responsible for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with the healthcare team to meet the physical and emotional needs of the patient.
Your duties include placing orders, receiving and stocking department supplies, and assisting support staff with filing, medical records, and assigned daily tasks.
To be successful in this role, you will possess relevant certifications or experience as a Critical Care Tech, CNA, or medical assistant, ideally in an acute care setting. You will demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of empathetically interacting with patients and collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
$400/month Summit County housing stipend available for full time residents of Summit, Park, Eagle, Grand, Clear Creek or Lake Counties.
Job Requirements Required- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Basic computer skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current Colorado Emergency Medical Technician-Basic or A-EMT or EMT-Intermediate or Paramedic license
- IV certification required upon hire
- One (1) year healthcare experience (pre-hospital, ED and/or patient care)
Physical Requirements
-Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
