Location: Palmer Lake

Licensed Clinician – The Recovery Village, Palmer Lake, CO

We are seeking an Independent licensed clinician to provide individual, family, and group therapy, conduct assessments, and coordinate care for patients in a residential substance abuse and mental health program.

Salary & Schedule

Independent Licensed Clinician: $80,000+. Preliminary Licensed Clinician: $64,480+. Additional compensation available for candidates with experiential or nature‑based modality experience.

Schedule:

Mon–Fri, 8:30am–5:00pm; must work 1–2 weekend days every 4–6 weeks with one weekday flexed off during those weeks.

Core Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy according to program curriculum
  • Complete and ensure sign‑off of all required documentation (Biopsychosocial Assessment, Integrated Summary, Comprehensive Problem List, Master Treatment Plan, ASAMs, therapy session notes, discharge summary) within specified time frames
  • Use substance abuse and co‑occurring therapeutic interventions and de‑escalation techniques to help patients achieve treatment goals and successfully complete treatment
  • Assess patients for substance use disorders, risk to self or others, and co‑occurring mental health disorders
  • Manage aftercare recommendations and support to prepare patients for maintaining recovery
  • Provide group therapy and contribute to caseload management as per state requirements
  • Participate in crisis intervention, multidisciplinary teams, and daily flash meetings when the Clinical Director is absent
  • Maintain documentation daily to meet 92% completion compliance metrics
Other Required Tasks
  • Maintain positive relationships with all staff
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment plan reviews
  • Maintain healthy boundaries with patients and staff
  • Seek and accept feedback from supervisors
  • Provide a safe and therapeutic environment for staff and patients
  • Communicate significant patient developments to supervisor
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and contribute to organizational success
  • Pursue professional development through education and training programs
  • Contribute positively to staff morale
  • Perform other tasks as assigned
Requirements

Education:

  • Master’s Degree in social work, psychology, or related human services field required

Credentials:

  • Provisionally or Independently Licensed in the State of practice required in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or other behavioral health related field
  • Accepted credentials: LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LAC, LPCC, LSW, MFTC, CAS
  • CPR and BFA Certification required

Experience:

  • Minimum one year of work experience in behavioral health field preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in communication and written skills
  • Knowledge of State and Federal statutes regarding patient confidentiality laws
  • Knowledge of licensing and accreditation standards
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records utilizing HeatherAI
  • Proficient in documenting medical standards per ASAM and Locus criteria
