Join a hospital-based respiratory therapy team in Salida, Colorado, and take on a rewarding travel respiratory therapist assignment in a scenic mountain community. This 13-week opportunity is ideal for an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) who is skilled in inpatient cardiopulmonary care, respiratory diagnostics, and night shift clinical support.
- Position: Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Setting: Hospital / Inpatient Respiratory Therapy
- Location: Salida, CO 81201
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Schedule: Sunday through Tuesday nights, with a rotating 4th night every other week to work Sunday through Thursday
- Start Date: 11/23/2026
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,830 - $1,970
- Additional Schedule Notes: Some call, weekends, and holidays may be required
- Minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required
- Active Respiratory Therapist license in the state of Colorado
- Certification or registry from an accredited college or technical school
- Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician or Registered Respiratory Therapist credential required
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
- Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to work independently on night shift
- Perform and collect diagnostic information, including pulmonary function testing, sleep studies, blood gas analysis, and other respiratory diagnostics
- Accurately assess patients using physical examination findings and diagnostic data
- Deliver respiratory therapeutics such as medical gas therapy, humidity therapy, aerosol therapy, and airway clearance
- Manage artificial airways and provide care for invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation
- Monitor patient responses to therapy and adjust care as needed in a timely manner
- Participate in discharge planning, case management, and patient education focused on cardiopulmonary wellness
- Attend required safety in-services, department meetings, and other assigned education sessions
