Qualifications
  • Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Experience in a school-based setting or strong interest in pediatric therapy
  • Solid understanding of IEPs and school special education processes
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and other professionals
  • Ability to motivate and engage children of varying abilities
  • Organizational skills to manage caseloads and documentation efficiently
Responsibilities
  • Conduct evaluations and develop individualized intervention plans for students
  • Support skill-building in areas such as fine motor, sensory processing, and self-care
  • Provide direct and consultative services tailored to student needs in classroom and therapy settings
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate closely with school teams and families
  • Maintain detailed records, progress notes, and required reports
  • Deliver therapy that builds confidence, independence, and academic success for students
