Registration Specialist (Rehab) - PRN

Join Haxtun Health as a Registration Specialist and be the first smile patients see, helping guide them through check-in, insurance, and payments while keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

Starting Pay Range: $18.29/hr - $23.78/hr , depending on experience

Position Status: PRN, non-exempt

Shift: Day
- As a PRN team member, you’ll have the opportunity to build a schedule that works best for your life based on the availability of open shifts.

PRN Differential: +10% of base wage

Shift Differentials:
Weekends = +15% of base wage

Job Summary

The Registration Specialist plays a key role in creating a positive first impression for patients and visitors by ensuring all admissions, registrations, and account information are handled professionally, accurately, and efficiently. This position supports the clinic, performing patient interviews, verifying insurance, collecting and posting payments, and maintaining complete and compliant records to optimize hospital revenue and enhance the patient experience. The Registration Specialist also provides front desk and phone support, greets and assists patients and visitors, and ensures all registration and payment documentation is processed in a timely and accurate manner.

This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous medical front office reception or related experience preferred
  • Experience with Excel and Word preferred
