Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure the current day's revenue balances are reconciled, payments to the guest ledger are processed, and accounts receivables are balanced. Verifying the summary of daily transactions are readied for the next day's business
  • Prepare daily management reports, complete system back-ups and complete the update process on the Front Office system per established guidelines and procedures
  • Reconcile miscellaneous revenue sources to the PMS system; record and adjust entries as needed.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Inn at Lost Creek standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working.
  • Comply at all times with Inn at Lost Creek standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times.
  • Employees must at all times be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employees.
  • Perform guest services functions as required (i.e., check guests in and out, take reservations, enter wake-up calls, etc.).
  • Audit and reconcile financial and statistical reports.
  • Prepare and distribute necessary daily reports as required (i.e., Daily Operating Report, Discount Programs, Tax Reports, etc.) according to hotel standards.
  • Prepare and distribute month-end reports.
  • Audit and reconcile all Front Desk's work.
  • Audit, reconcile, consolidate, and transmit all credit cards on a timely basis.
  • Prioritize job functions in order to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure accuracy of all numbers reported including statistics.
  • Input and update financial information into corporate communications network.
  • Perform daily, weekly, monthly and annual data processing system functions as required.
  • Keep management abreast of any unusual operational or financial events and/or deviations of policies or procedures.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Maximize productivity, identify problem areas, and assist in finding and implementing solutions.
  • Respond to governmental inquiries upon receipt.
  • Handle guest requests.
  • Attend meetings/training as required by management.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent and/or one year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field required.
Language Skills
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests.
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
Mathematical Skills
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as rates, taxes, discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
  • Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
