Banquet Server-On Call

Job Summary:

The On-Call Banquet Server provides courteous and professional food and beverage service during catered events such as weddings, corporate functions, and other special occasions. This role is event-based and requires flexibility in scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Set up banquet areas including tables, chairs, linens, silverware, glassware, and decorations according to event specifications.
• Serve meals and beverages promptly and courteously.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the banquet area before, during, and after events.
• Clear dishes and utensils between courses and after meals.
• Assist with buffet setup and breakdown.
• Respond to guest requests and anticipate their needs.
• Communicate special dietary needs or allergies to kitchen staff.
• Follow health and safety regulations at all times.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and event coordinators to ensure smooth service.
• Assist in post-event cleanup including folding linens, breaking down tables, and storing equipment.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Basic math skills for handling orders and inventory.
• Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing event needs.

• Flexible schedule; hours vary based on event needs.
• Work may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting, and bending.
