Housekeeper / Room Attendant
Our Housekeepers play an essential role in creating a clean, comfortable, and welcoming experience for every guest. This hands-on position is responsible for preparing guestrooms to hotel and brand standards while maintaining cleanliness, organization, and attention to detail throughout assigned areas of the property. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, works efficiently both independently and as part of a team, and understands that the condition of a guestroom can make a lasting impression on a guest's stay.
Clean and prepare assigned guestrooms according to hotel and Marriott brand standards, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning all guestroom surfaces.
Thoroughly clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, showers, tubs, sinks, mirrors, fixtures, and floors.
Replace linens and towels and replenish guest amenities, toiletries, tissues, and other room supplies according to established standards.
Inspect guestrooms while cleaning to identify maintenance concerns, damaged items, or conditions requiring additional attention and promptly report them to the appropriate department.
Ensure guestrooms are fully stocked, properly arranged, and ready for guest arrival before marking rooms complete.
Maintain assigned housekeeping carts, supplies, linens, and equipment in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
Complete assigned rooms and daily responsibilities efficiently while maintaining established quality and cleanliness standards.
Respond professionally and courteously to guest requests and communicate additional needs to the appropriate hotel department when necessary.
Follow established procedures for guest privacy, room entry, keys, lost-and-found items, and hotel security.
Assist with the cleanliness of corridors, housekeeping areas, public spaces, and other areas of the hotel as assigned.
Properly use, store, and handle cleaning products, chemicals, equipment, and supplies in accordance with hotel safety procedures.
Communicate room status, maintenance concerns, unusual conditions, and other important information to Housekeeping leadership.
Work collaboratively with Front Office, Engineering, and other hotel departments to ensure rooms are available, properly maintained, and ready for our guests.
Participate in department meetings, training, and ongoing initiatives related to safety, cleanliness, guest service, and Marriott brand standards.
Previous hotel housekeeping or professional cleaning experience is preferred but not required; we are willing to train candidates with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team environment.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Ability to organize and prioritize assigned responsibilities within established time frames.
Ability to follow cleaning procedures, safety requirements, and instructions for the proper use of cleaning products and equipment.
Professional and respectful demeanor when interacting with guests and fellow team members.
Dependable attendance and the ability to work a flexible schedule based on hotel occupancy and business needs.
Work is performed throughout a hotel environment, primarily within guestrooms, bathrooms, corridors, and housekeeping areas.
Regular use of commercial cleaning products, supplies, carts, vacuums, and other housekeeping equipment is required.
Team members may encounter varying temperatures, moderate noise levels, and exposure to cleaning products commonly used in hotel operations.
Must be comfortable working varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on hotel occupancy and business needs.
Starting Pay: $19.85 per hour, DOE
