The Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative and operational support across a broad range of human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, leaves coordination, benefits administration, payroll support, and HR compliance. This role serves as a key point of contact for employees and managers, ensuring timely and accurate processing of HR transactions while maintaining confidentiality and data integrity. The HR Coordinator assists with employee communications, policy administration, reporting, and HR projects, contributing to a positive employee experience and the effective delivery of HR services.

This position reports to the HR Director.

The pay range for this position is $26.50 to $37.10 per hour. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience.

Essential Job Functions
  • Completes and assists with the onboarding and orientation of new hires
  • Coordinates and assists with trainings
  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions via phone, email, in-person, etc.
  • Completes HRIS data entry for all phases of employment lifecycle
  • Trains managers and employees on HRIS systems
  • Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files
  • Helps maintain the employee portal
  • Coordinates and assists with all phases of Leaves of Absences
  • Assists with benefits and wellness fairs, open enrollment
  • Processes workers compensation claims
  • Schedules meetings and interviews
  • Files documents into appropriate employee files
  • Assists or prepares correspondence shipping needs
  • Assist leadership with reports, presentations, and special projects
  • Orders, maintains, and restocks office supplies, snacks, and drinks
  • Keeps the common areas clean and organized
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
  • Two years of related experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to engage with customers in a positive and helpful manner
  • Ability to manage difficult interactions
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures
