The Cat Digital Dev Ops Engineering team supports the Cat Digital development community by providing Dev Ops tooling, technical guidance, standards, and best practices. As a Dev Ops Engineer, you will assist developers in leveraging these capabilities to accelerate their delivery of Cat Digital applications and software.
What You Will DoAs a Dev Ops Engineer in Cat Digital, your mission is to enable effective, efficient, and secure development teams to deliver high-quality, business value to our customers. Competent to perform all programming, project management, and development assignments without close supervision; normally assigned the more complex aspects of systems work.
- Collaborate closely with several development teams to provide recommendations on Dev Ops best practices, Cat Digital Dev Ops standards, and troubleshooting of developer challenges in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Work with developers to create, optimize, and troubleshoot Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Work with developers to create, optimize, and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure deployments using Infrastructure as Code (IAC).
- Collaborate with a Dev Ops Engineering community to help set standards and implement initiatives across Cat Digital teams.
- Work with developers in the usage of cloud services and assist in troubleshooting solution problems, including IAM, networking and other configuration issues.
- Communicate issues, recommendations, and solutions to developers, product owners, as well as software development managers.
- Software Development Life Cycle: Knowledge of software development life cycle; ability to use a structured methodology for delivering and managing new or enhanced software products to the marketplace.
- Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
- Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
- Typically, a candidate will have 2+ years of experience as a Dev Ops Engineer
- Experience with AWS cloud services (such as IAM, S3, Lambda, Sage Maker, API Gateway, and RDS)
- Deep understanding of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) principals and best practices
- Strong experience creating, managing, and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines using Azure Dev Ops and/or Git Hub Actions.
- Experience managing and deploying AWS infrastructure via AWS Cloud Formation
- This position requires the candidate to be based in either Denver, CO;
Chicago, IL;

Summary Pay Range$89,210.00 - $
