Job Description

This position is responsible for complex to expert level work supporting information technology applications through planning, designing, implementing, maintaining, and providing ongoing optimization and support.

This position is remote with some onsite presence required.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM with occasional on‑call shifts.

Essential Functions
  • Provide support to stakeholders by analysing and diagnosing problems to determine resolution.
  • Gather, validate, and translate technological requirements into design and development specifications while providing product management.
  • Configure, test, install, implement, monitor, and maintain common and complex systems (applications, workflows, processes, hardware, etc.).
  • Document and recommend workflow changes and technical/functional designs needed to support business requirements.
  • Partner with external vendors to support related third‑party applications, including integration/implementation, support, and troubleshooting.
  • Resolve complex incidents and problems according to agreed service levels and department standards.
  • Serve as project manager for complex projects, collaborating with the DTS Project Manager to ensure initiatives are organized, planned, and managed.
  • Review quality of team projects, demand creation, and resource management processes, and create remediation plans for identified issues.
  • Mentor analysts and identify training opportunities for technical duties, demand management, and resource management processes.
  • Collaborate with peers, internal and external stakeholders, and vendors to develop best practices and standards for all technical duties.
  • Adhere to documentation and change‑management standards.
  • Develop training and knowledge‑based materials for peers, end‑users, and team members.
  • Configure and integrate electronic and mechanical hardware with software products to meet functional criteria.
  • Understand business reporting needs for end users.
  • Participate in on‑call and command‑center responsibilities.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive testing plans and scripts to verify system outputs and integrity.
  • Attend and participate in team, project, and department meetings to increase awareness and information flow.
  • Assist in forecasting issues and justifying project and/or team budget processes.
  • Participate in vendor or industry user groups, community discussions, and/or Industry CAB sessions.
  • Manage the portfolio of IT projects and initiatives for assigned business units, ensuring alignment with IT strategy and roadmap, prioritizing business needs, and delivering business value (if applicable).
  • Advocate that leaders use data to make decisions, attend and/or facilitate workgroup and leadership meetings.
  • Track and aggregate actual benefits received by projects at the end of projects using benefit KPIs to report to senior leaders.
  • Provide detailed information on new projects to empower leaders to approve or decline non‑critical work that does not support strategy.
  • Conduct service reviews with facility or medical‑group business executives, communicate and follow up on survey results and improvement processes, and perform executive analysis of project coordination.
Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel with pivot tables, Visio, Project, PowerPoint, Word).
  • In‑depth business and application knowledge and experience.
  • Knowledge of system analysis and operating systems used in a hospital setting.
  • Skilled at assessing needs and determining best approaches through documentation.
  • Skilled in problem definition and data collection, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions.
