This Order Management Platform Operations Engineer position is within the Global Information Technology organization and reports to Director, IT Digital Initiatives. This role will be responsible for both technical OMS operations, as well as frequent testing support. Platform Operations includes reviewing order alerts and monitors, triaging with integrated systems, viewing payloads to determine mapping/integration errors, and handling technical system tasks. System integrated testing includes, representing the OMS system in end to end, integrated testing.

Reviewing integrations between systems, understanding system architecture, and being able to call out bugs and resolution needed. This role will come to the position with prior Sterling OMS systems experience.

Excellent communications skills is a must, as well as a proactive mentality to platform operation solutioning as well attention to detail on testing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage and support the IBM Sterling Order Management System (OMS) Cloud Product

• User access management - assigning roles, managing user profiles, and ensuring appropriate access levels

• System Monitoring - monitoring the health and performance of the OMS, identifying potential issues, and taking proactive steps to prevent downtime

• Order Management and Monitoring – monitoring the alerts queues, and being able to take action to resolve errors

• Documentation – Maintaining accurate and up to date documentation of the OMS platform and configurations

• Troubleshooting

• Focus on ensuring smooth and efficient operations

• Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values, philosophy and culture of the organization

• Proactively communicate to stakeholders ranging from front line staff, to IT management

• Risk Management and Compliance - Ensure that all IT activities comply with all local laws applicable to the place of business, regulations, and best practices

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ Years Experience IBM Sterling Technical Specialist with IBM Sterling OMS experience responsible for the technical platform operations and testing

• Work on B2C environment with extensive knowledge on IBM Sterling Order Management System

• Integrations:
Experience with systems integrations, EDI, XML, STFP

• Knowledge of high quality professional software engineering practices for agile software development cycle, including coding standards, code review, source control management, build processes, testing and deployment

• IBM Sterling testing experience. System integrated testing

• Experience working in Agile

• Strong technical background with IBM Sterling

• Good understanding of the company’s overall business operations and products

• The demonstrated ability to partner with suppliers, business customers, and IT staff on cross-functional projects and service improvements

• The demonstrated ability to translate business issues / requirements and objectives into technical solutions
