OMS Platform Engineer

This role requires a candidate to provide OMS platform operations and integrated testing support for the Order Management team. The position involves monitoring order alerts and queues, triaging OMS issues with integrated systems, reviewing payloads for mapping and integration errors, supporting user access, maintaining documentation, and representing the OMS during end-to-end integrated testing. This role will work with US time zones.

Strong communication skills, a proactive mentality toward platform operation solutioning, and attention to detail in testing are necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support the IBM Sterling Order Management System (OMS) Cloud Product.
• Perform user access management, including assigning roles and managing user profiles.
• Monitor the health and performance of the OMS to identify potential issues and prevent downtime.
• Oversee order management and monitoring by addressing alert queues and resolving errors.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of the OMS platform and its configurations.
• Troubleshoot platform issues to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Proactively communicate with stakeholders ranging from front-line staff to IT management.
• Ensure all IT activities comply with relevant regulations and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of IBM Sterling OMS experience, ideally in a B2C environment.
• Hands-on experience with OMS platform operations, including alerts/queue monitoring, troubleshooting, system health monitoring, user access/roles, and configuration documentation.
• Systems integration experience with EDI, XML, and SFTP; ability to review payloads and identify mapping/integration errors.
• IBM Sterling integrated testing experience, including end-to-end testing with other enterprise systems.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business issues into technical solutions.
