Underwriting Assistant (13868-1) Broomfield, CO
We are seeking an entry-level Underwriting Assistant with 1 year of experience, preferably with backgrounds in the mortgage industry, insurance office, or equivalent insurance exposure. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities:
- Service a book of business through the full policy lifecycle within service standards.
- Build relationships with agency partners and sales reps to improve risk classification and sales volume.
- Understand agency management, product distribution, and claims procedures.
- Create and maintain procedures.
- Communicate professionally with producers via phone, email, and chat regarding underwriting, policy servicing, and billing.
- Mentor and train less experienced team members.
- Collaborate with Compliance, Claims, Product, Underwriting, and other units for process improvements.
- Provide feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.
- Assist during peak periods or team member absences to ensure business continuity.
Qualifications:
- High attention to detail, creativity, intellectual curiosity, strong communication, and time management skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- 1-3 years of work experience; bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Teams).
Preferred:
- 3+ years of insurance or related office experience.
- Completion of insurance and/or financial designations.
- Experience with third-party catastrophe modeling.
