Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Police Sergeant, based in Dacono, CO. The Police Sergeant will oversee daily operational activities, provide leadership and guidance to police officers, and ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and department policies. Responsibilities include supervising and evaluating subordinates, leading criminal investigations, collaborating with community organizations, reviewing reports, enforcing laws, and participating in community outreach activities.

The Sergeant will also assist in training and development programs for the team, ensuring effective delivery of police services while maintaining public safety and trust in the community.

Qualifications
  • Experience and proficiency in Law Enforcement, Police operations, and ensuring compliance with regulations
  • Knowledge and expertise in Criminal Investigations and Criminal Justice procedures
  • Proven ability to lead, supervise, and collaborate with Police Officers to maintain order and safety
  • Strong interpersonal skills for fostering community partnerships and engaging in public relations
  • Exceptional communication and decision-making abilities
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; advanced education in relevant fields is a plus
  • Certification requirements, as defined by the State of Colorado and law enforcement training standards
  • Experience in leadership or supervisory roles within law enforcement is highly desirable
