Pool Attendant – Southern Land Company

Position Summary:

The Pool Attendant is responsible for the overall maintenance of the onsite pool. This is a part‑time, seasonal position, Saturdays & Sundays from 1PM – 5PM, May to September, with additional work on Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day.

• Set up umbrellas, loungers, and other pool furniture
• Ensure the restrooms are clean and stocked with soap, bath tissue, and paper towels
• Keep the pool deck clean
• Report any safety hazards, lighting issues, or damage to the pool and related facilities
• Enforce pool rules and addenda with residents/guests
• Check the emergency phone at each shift to ensure it’s working and charged
• Collect trash and perform pool chemical PH level and water temperature checks
• Manage the pool cleaning schedule and perform inspections at each shift
• Enforce safety protocols as set out by management

• 2+ years of practical experience preferred
• Effective verbal and written communication with co‑workers, residents, and vendors
• Anticipate the needs of the pool area and prioritize work independently
• Reliability and a professional, positive image at all times
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills, initiative, good judgment, sense of urgency and attention to detail
• Ability to lift/move 25 lbs. regularly and 50 lbs. occasionally

• Indoor, outdoor, and exposed to weather
• Very hot temperatures (above 90 °F)
• Standing, walking, bending, and reaching required for extended periods
• Lifting over 50 lbs. occasionally
• Possible exposure to chemical fumes and hazardous conditions
