- Hires, trains, motivates and monitors the performance of all parts department staff.
- Analyzes sales, expenses, and inventory monthly to maintain profit goals.
- Supervises stock order procedures.
- Forecasts goals and objectives for the department and strives to meet them.
- Improves customer satisfaction throughout fixed operations.
- Maintains inventory levels by dollar amount and day’s supply according to company metrics.
- Maintains inventory mix to achieve first time fill rate according to company metrics.
- Works with vendors to maintain an ideal commodity mix, tires, batteries and other items.
- Processes daily stock orders and verifies accurate receipting and processing.
- Maintains obsolescence levels according to company guidelines.
- Communicates daily with the service department to ensure special order parts are installed timely.
- Administers payroll for all parts staff associates.
- Enforces OSHA requirements, procedures and regulations.
- Conducts performance evaluations.
- Participates in operational planning.
- Maintains the facility and equipment.
- Conducts weekly department meetings/attends weekly manager meetings.
- Two to four years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and inventory management skills.
- Knowledge of dealership parts operations and inventory control best practices.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Driving record acceptable to the company’s insurance carrier.
The employee is regularly required to stand, walk and sit. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Comfortable working in a warehouse environment and operating equipment such as hand trucks and forklifts.
Compensation- Competitive compensation starting at $75,000+ annually, based on experience.
