Private Lessons Manager

You will have the ability to create amazing work experiences and build lasting relationships with staff and guests.
Responsible for all aspects of leadership, administration, staff management and guest interaction regarding all Private Lesson programs. Manage all functions of operations of Private Lesson School by performing the following duties:
- Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and timeliness of records generated in the Private Lesson Programs.
- Make recommendations for future program pricing structure and new programs.
- Propose programs for training for the upcoming season.
- Assists in monitoring all aspects of revenue generation to meet or exceed budget expectations.
- Oversee Private Premier (swag, lesson assignments, program development, program corporate partnerships).
- Assures all employees have an annual performance evaluation.
- Control wage/expense to revenue ratios and operational configuration.
- Assigns work to instructors according to established criteria.
- Assists with auditing and approving staff wages and incentive pay.
- Attends appropriate daily instructor line-ups and morning meetings.
- Oversee Supervisors to ensure adequate staffing, appropriate scheduling, and the administration and assignment of private lessons.
- Observes staff to detect and correct mistakes, helping maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Addresses staff and guest issues with compassion and professionalism.
- Must be well groomed to represent the product in the highest level of professionalism at all times.
- Work with Sales Team and other managers to maximize retail inventory.
- Educates and generates employees support for company policies in an enthusiastic manner.
- Communicate with staff daily.
- Models the company goals and expectations.
- Models the essence of exemplary guest service and professional instruction.
- Trains sales staff about Ski & Snowboard School Program products and structure.
- Attends to and finalizes all administrative work on a daily basis.
- Explains and enforces safety protocols, rules, and regulations.
- Attends all appropriate departmental and company-wide meetings.
- Participate in all necessary training clinics and events to maintain current and up to date PSIA/AASI certification.
- Seeks to upgrade teaching and sliding skills to better serve staff and guests and obtain a better understanding of the instructor's job.
- Responds to incidents and accidents in lessons professionally and quickly.
- Prepares all paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
- Create and maintain priority system and pay matrix for instructors.
- Provide a guest experience that exceeds the guest's expectations.
- Supports Telluride Ski & Golf sustainability and safety initiatives.
- Adheres to Telluride Ski & Golf policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of and adheres to Skier Responsibility Code and Colorado Skier Safety Act.
Manage 1 Assistant Manager and a total of 100-120 employees in Private Lesson programs. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of said programs. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws;
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

At least 5 seasons related experience and as manager or supervisor preferred.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
