Schedule
:
Five days/week, including weekends/holidays (during Winter Season)
Summers off and eligible for job attached unemployment
Pay: $60, salary (annualized equivalent), based on skills and experience
Plus the potential for an end of season bonus

SummaryAre you passionate about excellent customer service and are driven to provide the best experience possible for guests, staff and fellow employees. Responsible for providing great experiences for all guests renting skis and snowboard equipment at Loveland Basin and Loveland Valley. Responsible for all Rental Shop operations including scheduling/coverage, guest experience, employee experience, coordination with Ski & Ride School, and rental inventory process.
Execute on Rental department and broader organizational goals.
Every employee is responsible for providing a positive experience for our guests and employees, with safety and fun as our top priorities.
Essential Functions- Responsible for hiring and managing a team of Rental Shop employees including leadership and line-level positions. Position may be a working manager at times (i.e., expected to work in the Rental Shops, as needed)
- Develop and provide appropriate training for Rental Shop employees to start the winter season and throughout the season
- Build and maintain a strong customer and employee focused culture
- Respond to, de-escalate, and resolve elevated guest situations, as needed
- Provide guidance and manage the performance of all Rental Shop employees, including performance feedback, recognition, redirection, and discipline, as needed
- Responsible for managing the financial performance of the department
- Responsible for ordering, tracking and inventory of all rental equipment
- Structure and coordinate special group and employee rental programs
- Develop, implement, monitor, and maintain department safety programs including job hazard assessments, training, documentation, etc.
- Updating of internal policies/procedures
- A Loveland leadership role expected to provide positive leadership at Loveland beyond the Rentals department
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Previous rental shop experience; minimum of 5 years
- Minimum 3 years supervisory experience, preferably in a seasonal operation
- Experience with money handling
- Must pass binding certification at Loveland
- Experience working with the public and internal customers
- Possession of (or ability to obtain) a valid Colorado Driver's License, with an acceptable driving record.
- Strong communication and time management skills with independent decision-making ability
- Ability to communicate clearly, calmly, and respectfully
- Ability to manage competing priorities, scheduling and motivating a team to accomplish all priorities
- Ability to handle fast paced, potentially high-pressure work environment
- Basic to intermediate Microsoft knowledge; sales point software.
- Ability to work at high altitude, mostly indoors and able to travel between areas to manage all Rental operations
- Ability to communicate clearly in English - speak and understand verbal and written communications.
- Ability to lift/carry, push/pull up to 100 pounds.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays during the Winter Season.
