Regional Director of Operations

We are seeking a Regional Director of Operations who oversees the strategic and operational management of administrative and physical operations across multiple regions. This role aligns clinical operations, call center functions, supply chain, and facility management with the organization’s mission and goals. Key responsibilities include leading daily operations, supervising staff, managing budgets, overseeing emergency preparedness, and driving performance improvements. The Regional Director reports to the Chief Operating Officer and collaborates with other directors and senior leaders to ensure consistent service delivery supported by data-driven metrics.
Direct reports include Regional Patient Experience Managers and Facilities/Maintenance personnel.
- Minimum education:
Bachelor’s Degree;
Preferred education:
Master’s Degree. - Minimum experience:
3-5 years supervision experience;
Preferred experience:
5 years leading professional development programs and/or healthcare operations.
Starting pay is $86,507.20 - $96,886.40 annualized and considers preferred experience and preferred education described above.

Physical Operations
- Oversee supply chain and facility management to ensure compliance with standards and policies.
- Manage facility projects, including new builds, remodels, and emergency preparedness.
- Monitor expenditures, implement necessary adjustments, and negotiate contracts to ensure cost efficiency.
- Oversee the development and implementation of emergency preparedness and disaster response plans.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and staff readiness, including necessary trainings.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) including call metrics, provider templates, patient scheduling, and staffing performance.
- Provide customer service training and set expectations for all Patient Experience Specialist staff.
- Partner with the Chief Operating Officer and the Executive Team to develop annual budget considerations such as encounter expectations, revenue generation, and personnel expenses.
- Create, implement, and maintain schedule templates to maximize appropriate access to care for Axis patients.
- Ensure provider schedules are filled daily through consistent auditing and key performance indicator measurements.
- Ensure Patient Experience Specialist staff are minimizing missed opportunities in provider schedules through consistent auditing practices and robust confirmation calls.
- Oversee training that emphasizes consistent dramatic performance improvement practices by measuring filled schedules, no-show rates, and phone metrics.
- Lead initiatives to optimize workflows, resource allocation, and service delivery.
- Partner with leadership teams to align strategies with patient care and organizational objectives.
- Supervise Regional Patient Experience Managers.
- Foster a high-performance culture with accountability and collaboration.
