Description
The Primary responsibility of the Material Handler is the safe and efficient movement, storage, staging and tracking of raw materials, chemicals, and products used in production.

- Complete and accurate inventory transactions in ERP system
- Assures company and production standards are met
- Safely transport raw materials, chemicals, and products throughout the facility using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload trucks, tankers, and containers following standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
- Accurately receive, label, and store chemicals in compliance with inventory management systems and hazardous materials guidelines.
- Maintain inventory records and assist in cycle counts or physical inventories.
- Monitor chemical containers for signs of damage, leakage, or deterioration; report any concerns to supervisors immediately.
- Operate drum, tote, and cylinder filling stations following plant procedures and product specifications.
- Clean and maintain equipment and work areas and chemical warehouses to ensure a safe and organized environment.
- Follow all safety and environmental regulations including PPE use, spill containment, and emergency response protocols.
- Support production by ensuring timely delivery and staging of materials to production areas.
- Retrieve data from executed batch records and complete batch receipt tickets in ERP system.

Week 2: 04:00 - 16:30 Sunday - Wednesday
OR
Week 1: 07:00 - 19:30 Sunday - Tuesday
Week 2: 07:00 - 19:30 Sunday - Wednesday
Qualifications- High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Prior experience in material handling, preferably in a chemical or industrial environment.
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain certification).
- Basic math and computer skills (for inventory tracking and documentation).
- Understanding of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and hazardous material labeling systems.
- Demonstrated ability to accurately track and record data and verification of data.
- Problem solving skills and critical thinking.
- Ability to work well in a small, collaborative team, while also communicating and interacting with all levels of staff across the organization.
Must pass a Physical and Job Function Evaluation.
Working ConditionsThe job requires frequent work outside in all weather for short periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally push, roll and/or move up to 100 pounds.
The employee will be working in areas that require the use of PPE including a respirator.
