Lakeshore Talent is partnering with a well-established manufacturing client to hire an experienced Brake Press Operator
. In this role, you will set up and operate heavy-duty press brake equipment to bend, form, and punch metal components while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
The ideal candidate has experience reading blueprints, working with precision measurements, and producing high-quality metal components. This position requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to support production needs by operating multiple machines when required.
Shift: Tuesday – Saturday; 3:20pm – 2:00am
Location: Henderson, CO
Assignment Length: 4 months to start, with potential for extension or hire
Pay: $25-$29/hr, depending on experience (shift differential is included)
- Set up and operate press brake and metal forming equipment to bend, form, and punch sheet metal and plate.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and production specifications to determine bending sequences and machine setup.
- Select and installappropriatedies, tooling, and fixtures for each job.
- Align and secure dies to machine ram and bed.
- Setappropriateram stroke depth and pressure for forming operations.
- Position and support work pieces during machine operation.
- Perform multiple passes and reposition materials as required to complete complex bends.
- Remove burrs or sharp edges when necessary.
- Measure finished components using precision measuring toolsto verify accuracy and consistency.
- Inspect finished parts and mark job numbers as required.
- Operate additional forming equipment as horizontal presses or bar forming equipment when needed.
- Perform basic machine maintenance and cleaning.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Follow allsafety procedures, PPE requirements, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to support efficient production.
- 2+ years of press brake or metal fabrication experience
- Ability toread blueprints and engineering drawings
- Experience with precision measurement toolssuch as tape measures, protractors, and radius gauges
- Knowledge ofshop math, including converting decimals and fractions
- Experience usinghand tools in a manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts
- Ability to lift materials up to50 lbs
- Ability to passpre-employment screening
