Business Analyst, Operations Engineer

OverviewAs a key member of Gogo's Supply Chain organization, the Manufacturing Planner orchestrates the master production schedule in alignment with the broader supply chain strategy to ensure timely delivery of our industry‑leading in‑flight connectivity products. The role serves as a data‑driven liaison among Sales, Purchasing, Production, Logistics, Engineering and Quality teams, translating complex sales forecasts and supply chain data into actionable production schedules that directly support customer requirements and company objectives.
Responsibilities- Own and manage the 12‑month rolling production plan, translating sales forecasts into a comprehensive strategy for material, capacity and inventory.
- Define and maintain inventory policies, including safety stock levels, reorder points and lot sizes to optimize material availability and working capital.
- Partner with Sales to align customer demand with production capability, managing order fulfillment priorities and developing solutions for order rescheduling or reallocation.
- Proactively analyze material availability against production schedules to identify and mitigate shortage risks before they impact the production line.
- Translate the master production schedule into actionable work orders, ensuring manufacturing teams have clear, timely direction.
- Bridge the gap between planning and procurement by translating ERP‑generated requirements and developing simplified tools to enable purchasing to execute purchase orders accurately.
- Drive daily cross‑functional collaboration with shop‑floor management, logistics and purchasing teams to align on production priorities, manage schedule changes and escape critical issues.
- Serve as the supply‑chain lead for Engineering Change Order (ECO) implementation, analyzing impacts and managing the transition of parts and revisions into production.
- Strategically plan the depletion of outgoing components and introduction of substitutes to minimize inventory obsolescence and support engineering changes.
- Develop and analyze KPIs for production progress, WIP and inventory levels to drive data‑informed decisions and process improvements.
- Own the integrity of core planning parameters within the ERP system (lead times, BOMs, item master data), auditing data and collaborating with Engineering and Purchasing to ensure accuracy.
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related analytical field (e.g., Operations Management, Finance, Mathematics) is preferred or equivalent work experience.
- 5‑7 years of progressive experience in manufacturing planning or supply‑chain management, preferably within aviation, electronics or other highly regulated precision manufacturing environments.
- Expertise in an enterprise‑level ERP system, with deep experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central highly desired; proficiency with loading an MPS, running the MRP engine, configuring planning parameters and translating outputs into procurement and production schedules.
- Proven ability to leverage advanced data analysis tools, including expert‑level Microsoft Excel and/or Power
BI (Power Query, MCode, DAX, dynamic arrays, tables and models). - Expertise in core manufacturing data management, including creation and maintenance of multi‑level BOMs, routings and ECO processes.
- Experience operating within a formal Quality Management System (QMS) such as ISO
9001 or AS9100. - High degree of initiative and ability to work independently to solve complex problems with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to clearly articulate complex information to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Relevant professional certifications such as APICSCPIM or CSCP.
- Familiarity with other Business Intelligence platforms (Tableau, Qlik Sense, Looker) or advanced database query languages (SQL).
- Experience with formal project management methodologies or tools (Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project) to track and drive planning‑related initiatives.
- Working knowledge of advanced statistical analysis and demand forecasting methodologies (time‑series analysis, regression models).
Base Pay: $72,000.00 - $90,000.00 USD per year;
Annual Target Bonus Plan at 10% of annualized base pay;
