Machinist ; Tube Shop - 2nd shift

As a machinist 1 at MKS Instruments, you will partner with the machine shop team, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and the technical operations teams. You will be responsible for productivity, quality, and meeting the expected daily efficacies. In this role, you will report to the Machine shop supervisor.

• Assignment planning, layout, set‑up, operating and making tool adjustments for a variety of major conventional or automatic machines
• Works from blueprints, process sheets and sketches to perform production tasks which may include the cutting and shaping of metal to precision dimensions
• Checks and inspects machining operations against specified tolerances
• May identify and repair minor machine malfunctions

• 1+ year of related experience
• Machine shop experience, ability to add and subtract decimals

• Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally move or position objects up to 30 pounds
• Remain in a stationary position for 60% of the time
• Frequently positions self to perform tasks and positions objects below, at, and above shoulder level
• Communicate information and ideas so others will understand
• Dedication to safety to mitigate hazards including handling mechanical and electrical hardware, high voltage, gas, water, and heat

Hourly Pay Range: $16.70 - $27.83 USD. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.

Bonus:
This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
