Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Supply Chain Manager.

What You’ll Do

This position is responsible for all functions of materials management and procurement processes for MCB business within RWD. Ensuring that all customer demand is properly translated into production and purchasing requirements while maintaining optimal inventory levels at our operation.

Manages resources to ensure on time delivery to customers and provide efficient and effective production plans to operations and suppliers. Is expected to develop direct reports on the use of business systems, expand functional competencies, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

This position is responsible for managing key production control related functions such as demand and forecast management, production and aftermarket scheduling, and materials planning activities associated with the on time delivery of customer products. Manages and directs materials planning personnel to maintain an optimal balance between inventory, delivery and costs. Is expected to develop direct reports on the use of business systems, expand functional competencies, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Manage and oversee procurement of all goods, supplies, and services to support the production cycle time requirements of the plant.
  • Lead the SIOP process for the plant and maintain continuous knowledge of demand, capacity, and inventory to achieve OTD, inventory, and productivity goals.
  • Drive EBS excellence through MMA and OpA assessment.
  • Build organizational capability through development plans, mentoring, accountability, cross‑training, and succession planning.
  • Manage and support supplier negotiations for direct and indirect material.
  • Align with Electrical Sector strategy to plan, manage and execute inventory strategy (PFEP, Kanban, ROP, etc.).
  • Ensure site adheres to Supply Chain Policies and Corporate procedures and programs.
  • Participate in development of plant strategic plans and align departmental goals.
  • Establish and maintain procedures for the department.
  • Develop and control production schedules and inventory levels based on sales forecasts and other commitments to balance production with customer requirements.
  • Determine materials requirements to meet production schedules, inventory levels and shipment demands to achieve on‑time production and inventory management requirements.
  • Analyze and evaluate inventory and delivery problems and recommend or implement solutions to optimize inventory levels and manufacturing schedule.
  • Arrange sale of scrap, obsolete, surplus materials and by‑products to minimize E&O.
  • Work cross‑functionally to support new product introductions and transitions for timely and cost‑effective changes.
  • Collaborate with Divisional SCM and sourcing to drive down total cost of ownership.
  • Collaborate with site to strengthen Business Continuity Management plan.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business or related areas. Preferably a Master’s degree or MBA. Language capabilities: bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Minimum 7 years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 5 years personal supervising experience.
  • Knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) and order generation process logic.
  • Thorough understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts surrounding production planning, scheduling, purchasing, supplier selection, inventory control, logistics, stockroom operations, shipping/receiving.
  • Preferred: APICS certification.
  • Thorough knowledge of purchasing techniques and practices, including procedures related to sourcing internationally.
  • Detailed knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Process Variation Reduction (Six Sigma) concepts and tool sets as they relate to materials management.
