JOB SUMMARY
The Fabrication Welder I / II is responsible for the layout, fit-up, fabrication, assembly, and welding of structural components, skids, platforms, supports, pressure vessel components, and custom fabricated equipment in accordance with engineering drawings, fabrication standards, and production requirements. This position may perform both fitting and welding duties depending on skill level and experience.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBLIITIES
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, shop prints, and welding symbols.
- Perform welding of carbon steel, stainless steel, and other alloys as required.
- Layout, fit-up, assemble, and fabricate structural and custom assemblies.
- Fabricate skids, platforms, pipe supports, frames, and miscellaneous structural components.
- Verify dimensions, tolerances, alignment, and assembly orientation.
- Perform weld preparation including grinding, beveling, fitting, and material preparation.
- Operate fabrication equipment including press brakes, plate rolls, band saws, ironworkers, magnetic drills, grinders, and hand tools.
- Operate overhead cranes, rigging equipment, and material handling equipment safely.
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with drawings and quality standards.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
- Promote and adhere to company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
- Support and exemplify the company's mission and values in all interactions.
- Assist with training and mentoring less experienced welders and fabricators when appropriate.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to pass company welding qualification tests.
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
- Experience welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and other alloys.
- Fabrication Welder I: 1-3 years of welding or fabrication experience preferred.
- Fabrication Welder II: 3-5+ years of fabrication shop experience preferred.
- Experience with layout, fit-up, and fabrication of structural assemblies preferred.
- Experience operating press brakes, plate rolls, and other fabrication equipment preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Must be able to tolerate frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching throughout the workday.
- Capability to push, pull, grasp, and reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Must be able to wear and operate required PPE including welding helmet, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and protective clothing.

The expected compensation range is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Final agreed upon compensation is based on factors such as education, experience, and other qualifications.
Pay Range: $25 - $34 per hour
