ResponsibilitiesThe overall responsibilities of this position include inspection of in‑house and vendor‑purchased products, raw materials, and services; inspection of packaging and labeling materials used for medical devices. Quality Inspectors also assist in the operation of the manufacturing line while ensuring the highest quality and striving for efficiency and excellence while adhering to all safety requirements.
- Perform routine and repetitive inspection procedures to ensure quality levels at various stages of production.
- Inspect incoming, in‑process, and finished products for visual, mechanical, and dimensional characteristics using inspection sheets and sampling plans.
- Compare results with specifications and document deviations.
- Read and follow visual aids, engineering change notices, and operating procedures.
- Perform visual inspections using magnification, sampling methods, first‑article checks, and/or AOI machines.
- Enter inspection results into MES systems.
- Perform lot release and archive batch documentation.
- Prepare documentation and ensure compliance.
- Assist in training co‑workers.
- Perform roving auditor inspections in manufacturing environments.
- Follow all safety, health, and security policies.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year experience using inspection techniques in medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience with Microsoft PC applications.
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
Experience
- Experience reading technical drawings and using measuring instruments preferred.
The hourly pay range is $14.86 - $26.73.
