Internship Overview
In this paid internship, the intern will gain real-world experience in Marketing, working alongside industry professionals, and will develop skills in marketing research, content development, digital marketing, and event planning.
Role:
Marketing Intern
Summary: The Marketing Intern will support the marketing department in various projects and initiatives, gaining hands-on experience in research, content development, digital marketing, and member engagement. This role is designed to provide exposure to the fundamentals of marketing within a financial services environment while contributing to the department's goals.
What You'll Learn
- How to gather, investigate, and interpret different types of data to enhance precise and impactful marketing strategies.
- How to support branding efforts through research on community partnerships and event planning to boost brand awareness.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of marketing principles as they apply to financial institutions.
What We're Looking For
- Must be enrolled at post-secondary educational institution (college or university) in a program taken for credit as an undergraduate or graduate student during internship. Pursuit of a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a closely related field is preferred.
- Interest in Marketing.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills; basic knowledge of social media, digital content tools and analytics. Able to multitask, collaborate and contribute creative ideas to marketing projects.
- Curious and eager to learn new marketing tools and techniques.
Eligibility
Students must be enrolled in a program for credit. Internship experience should align with academic instruction and/or career interests.
Schedule
- This internship opportunity is available throughout the year, aligned with academic semester schedules.
- Available to work 10-23 hours per week during credit union business hours (8 AM- 5PM), occasional evening/weekend availability when needed.
Salary
$19.83 per hour.
