About the Job

A Sr Brand Manager (SrBM) shapes brand strategies and leads execution of brand plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve annual operating plan targets for assigned segments. The SrBM is responsible for growing base businesses, launching and scaling new items, anticipating and responding to business/brand health dynamics, championing brand/commercial/supply/financial solutions, and leading teams towards flawless execution. Innovation vs base business development responsibilities vary by role.

Direct report responsibility varies. A SrBM is an experienced brand marketing professional with responsibility for 2-4 business segments within the HFB portfolio. Supports development of strategic plans and leads execution of initiatives that build brand equity, consumer penetration, segment growth, and profitability. Scope is likely to include brand, commercial, portfolio, network, supply, COG, and innovation initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Leads development of brand and segment strategies that achieve long and short-term net sales and EBITDA targets.
  • Leads execution of tactical plans in partnership with cross-functional teams (sales, commercial, insights, RGM, integrated marketing, shopper marketing, R&D, and operations).
  • Launches and scales line extensions and innovation, working in close partnership with insights, sales, finance, R&D, and operations.
  • Monitors segment and portfolio P&Ls and leads projects to optimize profit delivery in partnership with operations, sales and finance.
  • Monitors and synthesizes data into actionable insights that shape brand strategies, drive demand plans, and strengthen activation. Works with Category Management, Insights, and Data Analytics teams to craft cohesive internally- and externally-facing stories.
  • Leads execution of innovation, PPA, line-extension, network optimization, and COG optimization initiatives. Helps prioritize resources within the broader business context.
  • Leads execution of packaging and integrated marketing efforts; approves tactical execution.
  • Manages brand/segment budget: issues POs, tracks invoices, reports over/underspends. Helps optimize resource utilization across the marketing function.
  • Demonstrates corporate values and supports culture optimization initiatives.

The base compensation range for this position is $135,000 - $150,000 commensurate with experience

About You:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years progressive brand management experience, including base business and innovation pipeline management.
  • Prior food and beverage marketing experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing brands/product segments in one or more portfolio roles.
  • Demonstrated success building brands via base and innovation levers.
  • Consumer centricity and solid understanding of marketing fundamentals.
  • Strong experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated initiative and leadership.
  • Growth mindset, coachability.
Preferred:
  • MBA or equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience working within board/PE-led companies.
  • Prior experience building mission-centric brands and/or natural products.
