Location: Granby
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the work of the YMCA of the Rockies Snow Mountain Ranch which operates a mission- driven family and group conference and retreat center and residential camp, serving approximately 50,000 guests annually. The History Program Assistant is primarily responsible for planning and implementing history-focused programs for families and youth, assisting with museum database and collection maintenance, and general building maintenance.
The History Program Assistant assists the Museum Director in all facets of operation at the Rowley Homestead at Snow Mountain Ranch. The History Program Assistant is responsible for developing and implementing historical programs, assisting with the maintenance of the Homestead buildings and grounds, and providing general project oversight as directed by the Museum Director.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Under the direction of the Museum Director, plan, develop, and lead history-focused programs for Camp participants
* Plan, develop, and facilitate interpretive museum programs and tours for multigenerational guests
* Provide excellent visitor services, including greeting guests, offering tours, running programs, and answering questions
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for all programs and Homestead operations
* Independently open and close the Homestead facilities as directed by the Museum Director
* Collaborate with other departments to support special events or educational initiatives
* Assist the Museum Director in Collections Inventory
* Assist the Museum Director in identifying and preserving museum collections and archives both analog and digital
* Oversee all operations of the Homestead in the Director's absence
* Work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays as needed
