This is a 40-hour-per-week position, Monday through Friday. This position requires availability during programming hours from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. Some evening and weekend availability required. Times are subject to change based on programming needs.
Salary Range: $65,000 – $85,000, based on qualifications and previous related work experience.

Our dedicated Family Support Team offers wraparound services to all Valley Settlement participants and the community. Family Navigators conduct home visits, assist families in times of crisis, and provide important one-on-one support to connect families with the resources they need to thrive. In the Family Support Team, we also have the Promotoras program, which is a volunteer-based program where trained Promotoras make referrals for families who have children 0-5 years of age or our senior community of 50+ years of age.
FamilySupport Team
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Program Leadership & Oversight
- Lead and oversee the implementation of Family Support Team and Promotoras programming by meeting annual organizational goals, program objectives, and grant deliverables
- Use a collaborative and collective leadership approach in program planning and decision-making.
- Develop and manage monthly and annual staff calendars, including deadlines, site visits, trainings, outreach, and program events.
- Participate in organizational leadership meetings and contribute to organization-wide planning and decision-making.
- Represent the Family Support Team in program tours for funders, partners, and community events, as needed.
- Lead door-knocking and outreach efforts for recruitment and information sharing in coordination with other program managers.
- Maintain inventory of program supplies and order materials as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Staff Supervision & Team Development
- Supervise and support all Family Support Team employees through weekly one-on-one supervision and regular field observations.
- Lead weekly Family Support Team meetings and promotoras biweekly meetings where you actively foster a positive team culture and strong morale.
- Complete annual staff performance evaluations in alignment with the organization’s review process.
- Support the onboarding of new team members in coordination with Human Resources and relevant staff.
- Lead programmatic trainings and professional development opportunities, and support staff in meeting individual growth goals.
Family Support & Direct Service Oversight
- Review and revise family work plans in collaboration with Navigators and Promotoras, as needed.
- Provide direct support to families with complex questions, concerns, or special needs by maintaining a caseload of at least five families at all times and connecting and following up with appropriate resources.
- Accompany Navigators and Promotoras on home visits when requested to provide support and conduct observations.
Community Partnerships & Referrals
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of community resources and regularly share relevant updates with staff.
- Manage external community partnerships and establish clear referral processes between Valley Settlement and partner agencies, including initiating relationships with new agencies when needed
- Oversee the Family Support Team’s internal referral process and actively manage cross-program referrals in collaboration with program teams.
